Eko CORE is a digital module designed to convert analog stethoscopes (specifically Littmann Cardiology IV) into digital auscultation instruments. Installed on the chestpiece of the stethoscope, Eko CORE amplifies heart sounds, lung sounds, and other body sounds, enhancing clinical perception.
Provides digital amplification up to 40× (at peak frequency compared to analog mode), active noise cancellation, and automatic murmur detection with indicated sensitivity and specificity of 88%. These features support diagnostic assessment in noisy environments and allow for early detection of heart murmurs.
Indicated for hospitals, clinics, general medicine, and veterinary medicine (compatible with veterinary stethoscopes). It is useful in clinical settings where increased precision in auscultation is required, such as in cardiology departments, internal medicine, emergency rooms, and outpatient visits.
Eko CORE integrates wireless listening and remains transparent to analog use: when off, the stethoscope functions like a traditional Cardiology IV; when on, it becomes a digital instrument. The wireless function allows for remote listening and connections to compatible devices for tele-auscultation or recording.
The device is supplied with a rechargeable lithium battery with a declared autonomy of approximately 8 hours and recharges via micro-USB (cable not included), making it suitable for prolonged use during clinical shifts.
