The plastic tongue depressor is a sterile, single-use device designed for oropharyngeal inspection and examination. Made from translucent plastic with a curved shape and smooth edges, it is double-ended: one end measures 15 mm (paediatric) and the other 20 mm (adult), with an overall length of 150 mm.

Clinical Advantages

The curvature of the device allows for better visibility of the oral cavity, preventing the operator's hand from obstructing the field of vision during the examination. Being single-use and free of latex and PVC, it reduces the risk of cross-contamination and allergic reactions related to latex. The sterile model is individually packaged in peel-open pouches sterilized by Ethylene Oxide, ensuring appropriate conditions for sterile procedures.
