The Contec CA10M is a portable capnograph for monitoring EtCO2 and respiratory rate (AwRR) in adult and pediatric patients. Designed to provide immediate information on alveolar ventilation and, indirectly, on pulmonary circulation, it is suitable for use in clinical anesthesia, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, pre-hospital emergency care, intensive care unit (ICU), and during post-anesthesia awakening.
The device displays the respiratory waveforms and provides audible and visual alarms for out-of-range values (EtCO2 and respiratory rate). It includes compensation functions for atmospheric pressure and temperature, a user-calibratable zero function, and a quick "Adapter off" alert in case of disconnection from the airway.
Compact and lightweight, the CA10M is designed for emergency and patient transport scenarios: portable design, physical buttons for easy use, and a color display for quick reading. It provides high-resolution measurements with a wide measurement range (EtCO2 up to 150 mmHg) and configurable alarms that enhance patient safety during anesthetic procedures and critical therapies.
Indications for use: monitoring during anesthesia and intensive care, advanced airway management in resuscitation, monitoring in the emergency department and pre-hospital interventions, control during patient transport and postoperative assessment. The device connects to the patient's respiratory pathway via an adapter and connection tubes.
