The Contec CA10M is a portable capnograph for monitoring EtCO₂ and respiratory rate (AwRR) in adult and pediatric patients. Designed to provide immediate information on alveolar ventilation and, indirectly, on pulmonary circulation, it is suitable for use in clinical anesthesia, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, pre-hospital emergency care, intensive care unit (ICU), and during post-anesthesia awakening.

The device displays the respiratory waveforms and provides audible and visual alarms for out-of-range values (EtCO₂ and respiratory rate). It includes compensation functions for atmospheric pressure and temperature, a user-calibratable zero function, and a quick "Adapter off" alert in case of disconnection from the airway.
