SURIGCEL™ Original is a resorbable, sterile hemostatic agent in oxidized and regenerated cellulose (Rayon).
Frequently used for mild and medium-sized nosebleeds.
Tabotamp tablets are used when traditional hemostasis procedures are ineffective or impractical.
Cellulose-based product, oxidized and regenerated, the latter aspect making it distinctive. In fact, the double oxidation and regeneration process to which the alpacellulose is subjected, gives the product a uniform chemical-physical molecular structure (Rayon) and similar to hemoglobin from which the following particularities derive:
- Rapid haemostatic effect: 4 - 8 minutes (medium time).
- Complete absorption in 1/2 weeks.
- Excellent tolerability and biocompatibility.
- acid pH (<4) in contact with biological fluids, which gives the product bactericidal properties in vitro.
- High resistance and ductility of use (Rayon) both dry and wet from blood.
Indications:
The SURIGCEL™ Original hemostatic is used as an adjuvant in surgical interventions to facilitate the control of capillary, venous and small arterial bleeding in cases where ligation or other conventional control methods prove to be impractical or ineffective. It can be cut into the most appropriate dimensions for use in endoscopic procedures.
It can be used in many branches of surgery, for example: cardiovascular surgery, hemorrhoidectomy, vascular prosthesis implantation, biopsies, lung surgery, maxillofacial surgery, gastric resection, nose and throat operations, liver and gallbladder operations, gynecological operations , thoracic and abdominal sympathectomy, neurosurgery, especially brain surgery, thyroid surgery, skin transplants, dental surgery, treatment of superficial lesions and spleen surgery.
