The Maxlite Flexi set is a fiber optic laryngoscope designed for endotracheal intubation. It includes a rechargeable F.O. handle, two F.O. McIntosh blades (one No. 3 and one No. 4) with a movable tip and the bulb. The movable tip facilitates lifting the epiglottis, improving visualization of the glottic field even in challenging anatomical conditions.

Main advantages

The stainless steel construction with a matte finish and the viewing channel increase the visual area; the optical beam of 4.5 mm with over 6,500 fibers and the 2.5V Xenon lamp provide high light transmission (up to approximately 8,000 lux), reducing the necessary leverage and the risk of injury to the larynx and teeth.

The device is designed for professional use in emergency departments, operating rooms, intensive care units, anesthesia clinics, and in emergency/ambulance services. It can also be used in extrahospital settings, provided that personnel are trained in intubation techniques and the associated sterilization process.

Sterilization and maintenance: The blades are autoclavable at 134 °C for approximately 2,000 cycles and compatible with plasma sterilization (Sterrad 100 NX). The high-quality fibers ensure consistent performance over time; the use of C-type batteries or rechargeable batteries (not included) simplifies operational management.
