The Maxlite Flexi set is a fiber optic laryngoscope intended for endotracheal intubation. It includes a rechargeable F.O. handle, two F.O. McIntosh blades (one n. 3 and one n. 4) with a movable tip, and an LED bulb. The movable tip facilitates the lifting of the epiglottis, improving the view of the glottic field even in difficult anatomical conditions.

Main advantages

The stainless steel construction with a matte finish and the viewing channel expand the visual area; the 4.5 mm optical bundle with over 6,500 fibers and the LED lamp provide high light transmission (up to approximately 20,000 lux), reducing the required lever force and the risk of injury to the larynx and teeth.

The device is designed for professional use in emergency departments, operating rooms, intensive care units, anesthesia clinics, and in emergency/ambulance services. It can also be used in out-of-hospital settings provided that the staff is trained in intubation techniques and the associated sterilization processes.

Sterilization and maintenance: The blades are autoclavable at 134 °C for approximately 2,000 cycles and are compatible with plasma sterilization (Sterrad 100 NX). The high-quality fibers ensure consistent performance over time; the use of type C batteries or rechargeable batteries (not included) simplifies operational management.
